la conner tulip festival
Today is opening day of the La Conner Tulip Festival. The quilt museum is kicking off the spring season with a challenge for quilters to create a small quilt featuring, of course, tulips.
Gloria P used two yards of yukata cotton to make this cubist-style small quilt hanging. Using a carpenter’s wheel pattern, she fussy-cut the fabric to get the color bursts just right. The piecing is done with hand stitching, as well as the border and finishing!
